Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, where he was handed a note of protest expressing deep indignation over the statements made by Vladimir Solovyov.

This was reported by Ani Badalyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

“The Russian ambassador to Armenia was summoned to the MFA and handed a note of protest expressing deep indignation over statements made during a broadcast of a program that is part of a state television company. It was emphasized that these statements constitute an unacceptable encroachment on the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia, represent a hostile act, and grossly violate the fundamental principles of friendly relations between Armenia and Russia,” the MFA spokesperson stated.

It should be recalled that Russian TV host and journalist Vladimir Solovyov had stated that “losing Armenia is not in Russia’s interests, and that Russia should not conduct a special military operation only in Ukraine, but also in territories within Russia’s sphere of influence, disregarding international law.”
