The 12th Pan-Homenetmen Games are underway in Yerevan, bringing together over 800 athletes and more than 200 Hrashq members—children and young adults with special needs—from across the Armenian diaspora. The opening days have been filled with spirited competition, community events, and emotional moments of unity.

Athletes have already made moving visits to key national landmarks, including the Yerablur Military Pantheon, the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial, and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, paying tribute to the legacy and resilience of the Armenian people. Meanwhile, matches in football, basketball, volleyball, and other disciplines have drawn crowds of cheering supporters and built camaraderie among participants from around the world.

Opening and Overview of the Games

The games officially opened on July 24 and will continue through August 1 in Yerevan. Athletes from 15 regions are participating in this year’s tournament, including:

This year marks the second time that Hrashq members have participated in the games, highlighting Homenetmen’s commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

In addition to over 800 athletes, the games include more than 200 Hrashq participants and approximately 100 volunteer workers, making it one of the largest and most diverse Pan-Homenetmen gatherings to date.
