The ruling Civil Contract Party won the Vagharshapat city council elections, receiving 48.5 percent of the votes cast by participating voters.

The city council elections of the enlarged Vagharshapat community have concluded, and the vote counting process has been completed in all 47 polling stations.

Only three political forces crossed the electoral threshold:

 • Civil Contract (Arghishti Mekhakyan), 48.5 percent

 •Victory coalition of parties (Sevak Khachatryan), 31.9 percent

 • Mother Armenian National Democratic Party (Grisha Harutyunyan), 5.4 percent

According to the Central Electoral Commission, as of 20:00, 31,547 voters in Vagharshapat had participated in the election.

Eight political forces took part in the elections.

As of 20:00, the Ministry of Internal Affairs Police had received 10 reports regarding alleged violations during the Vagharshapat local elections.

Three reports, one related to voting on behalf of another person and two related to obstructing the exercise of suffrage or participation in a referendum, were formally documented and sent to the Investigative Committee.

Notably, observer groups reported that a large part of Etchmiadzin experienced a power outage while the voting process was still underway.
