Armenia national team captain Eduard Spertsyan has completed a transfer from Russian Premier League side FC Krasnodar to Saudi Pro League giants Al Ahli, the clubs announced.
The 26-year-old midfielder leaves Krasnodar as one of the greatest players in the club’s history and among the most successful graduates of its academy.
Over 185 appearances for the senior team, Spertsyan registered 102 goal contributions, scoring 58 goals and providing 44 assists, making him the second-highest scorer in the club’s history.
As club captain during the 2024/25 season, Spertsyan led Krasnodar to the first Russian Premier League title in the club’s history. He followed that with another outstanding campaign in 2025/26, helping Krasnodar finish as league runners-up while ending the season as the Russian Premier League’s top assist provider with 16 assists and the league leader in combined goal contributions with 29, scoring 13 goals and adding 16 assists.
Krasnodar thanked Spertsyan for his contributions to the club and wished him success as he begins the next chapter of his career with Al Ahli.
