David Ghahramanyan is an Artsakh-born documentary photographer and 301 photojournalist whose work has created an important visual record of Armenia and Artsakh. He became widely known during the 2020 Artsakh War, when he documented the conflict from the ground, photographing soldiers, civilians, communities, destruction, and daily life amid the fighting. His images from Stepanakert, Shushi, and other communities were widely circulated and helped convey the realities of the war to audiences in Armenia and abroad.

Since then, Ghahramanyan has continued documenting the people, landscapes, cultural heritage, historic sites, and major events of Armenia and Artsakh. His work preserves not only moments of conflict, but also the places, communities, traditions, and everyday lives that form part of the Armenian historical record.

This collection brings together Ghahramanyan’s photography by event, location, and subject, creating a visual archive of significant moments and sites across Armenia and Artsakh and preserving them for future generations.
