As of today, the official number of killed in action is 105.

Armenia applied to the CSTO under article 4, consisting of the following statement:

“If one of the States Parties is subjected to aggression by any state or group of states, then this will be considered as aggression against all States Parties to this Treaty”.

Pashinyan confirmed that Armenia has applied in particular for military assistance, as a result of which a number of appropriate decisions were made regarding the current situation.

It was stated that any attempts from Azerbaijan to cross Armenian sovereign territory is condemned as unacceptable and unjustifiable under any pretext.

When asked about the geopolitical importance of the current aggression, Pashinyan stated that Azerbaijan creates undesirable tension by presenting Armenia as pro-Russia to the West and pro-West (pro-EU/pro-US) to Russia during its meetings. All these statements are deemed false given the fact that during the last few years Armenia has cooperated closely with partners from the European Union, the United States as well as the Russian Federation.

When asked about the advancement of the Azerbaijani troops within Armenian territory, Pashinyan announced that in addition to the 40km2 previously occupied on May 12, 2021, as of today Azerbaijan has advanced 10km2.

And finally, at the end of the session Pashinyan announced that he is ready to sign a document recognizing Azerbaijan’s territorial claims including Artsakh in exchange for peace.
