Turkish parliamentarian Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu threatens all countries with withdrawal of military support to Armenia in exchange for peace.
During a visit to the Alley of Martyrs in Baku, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the former Foreign Minister of Turkey, told reporters that Turkey would continue to provide all possible support to Azerbaijan based on the “Shusha Declaration.”
Çavuşoğlu emphasized that offering military assistance to Armenia at present offers no benefits to either Armenia or the region.
This double standard is once again highlighted by the Turkish government as Turkey itself continues to provide support to Azerbaijan, including military assistance, during:
- the April 2016 attack against Artsakh,
- the July 2020 attack against Tavush, Armenia,
- the 2020 Artsakh War and its aftermath,
- and the continuous attacks by Azerbaijan against Armenia.
