Before commencing the march, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the Primate of the Tavush diocese, along with the march participants, recited the Lord’s Prayer (Hayr Mer). Following the prayer, marchers were blessed by 96-year-old Lena from Kirants, the grandmother who has become the symbol of the movement.
More than five hundred marchers are heading towards Yerevan currently, including clergy, parents of deceased servicemen, cultural figures, public figures, and Armenian citizens. Students from the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan have also joined.
