As you are well aware by now, the Azeri blockade on Artsakh has surpassed 250 days, and the situation is growing more dire than ever. While protests continue globally and ANC activism keeps putting pressure on foreign governments, only a few diasporan Armenians today find themselves actually within Artsakh.

In this age of information, as we strive to stay up to date with the latest developments, numerous social media accounts and personalities have emerged, covering the current news in Artsakh. Now, a new English-language podcast has also emerged, offering fresh perspectives on the situation on the ground as well as the political dynamics at play.

“The Artsakh Podcast” will take you inside the blockade to provide real perspectives on what is happening within the state. Gev Iskajian, who served with the ANCA and AYF for many years before relocating to Artsakh in early 2021 to lead the ANC Artsakh organization and act as a bridge between the diaspora and post-war Artsakh, co-hosts the podcast alongside Hagop Ipjian from Cyprus. Hagop Ipjian formed the Artsakh Support Body during the war and later moved to Artsakh to drive growth and development through his organization and his work at the state ministry. Together, they have combined their backgrounds, experiences, and education to offer insights to the diaspora about the state and preservation of Artsakh and Armenia, all while continuing their efforts within the country.

Until now, they had been collaborating with other journalists and media institutions, giving interviews and writing press releases to convey the truth about Artsakh. To a certain degree, this podcast serves as a powerful metaphor for taking our fate and story into our own hands.

For those who haven’t already tuned in, the podcast is available on most platforms and has, to date, released two episodes. These episodes feature Gegham Stepanyan and David Babayan, with many more interesting guests lined up for the future.
