Armenia international Edgar Sevikyan has officially joined Spanish second-division side AD Ceuta FC on loan from Hungarian champions Ferencváros until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old winger will continue his career in LaLiga 2 after seeing limited playing time with Ferencváros this season. Sevikyan featured in just two matches, playing a total of 61 minutes.
Overall, the Armenia international made 21 appearances for Ferencváros, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
The move also marks Sevikyan’s return to Spanish football. He previously developed in Levante’s academy and went on to make his La Liga debut for the club before continuing his career in Russia and Hungary.
Sevikyan will not be the only Armenia international playing in Spain’s second tier this season. Fellow national team forward Grant-Leon Ranos joined CD Tenerife from Borussia Mönchengladbach in July, signing a two-year contract with an option for an additional season.
