Despite Noah’s defeat and elimination from the UEFA Conference League, Armenia have officially secured 33rd place in the UEFA coefficient rankings, guaranteeing a Europa League spot for the 2027/28 season.

Armenia’s position was confirmed after clubs from Kosovo, Finland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina were eliminated from European competition, removing any threat of being overtaken in the standings.

Moreover, Armenia will begin the 2026/27 European season in 32nd place, moving ahead of Moldova and Russia, while remaining just behind Iceland. The improved starting position could further ease the path toward maintaining or strengthening the country’s Europa League representation in subsequent seasons.

In total, Armenia collected 16.75 coefficient points in the 2025/26 campaign. While slightly below last season’s 17.5 points, the tally marks a dramatic improvement compared to the 9 points earned two years ago.

Noah were responsible for the lion’s share, contributing 13.25 points. Pyunik added 2 points, Ararat-Armenia brought in 1.5, while Urartu also played its part in the overall European effort.

As a result of the ranking improvement, next season’s Armenian Cup winner will enter the Europa League first qualifying round instead of starting in the second qualifying round of the Conference League. This adjustment is significant: teams eliminated from the Europa League qualifiers drop into the Conference League, effectively providing a second chance in European competition.

If the same club wins both the Armenian Premier League and the Armenian Cup, the Europa League qualifying berth will be transferred to the league’s runner-up.
