Anna Ohanyan, a member of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) and development director of FC Noah, has filed a lawsuit against the federation over its new limit on foreign players.

According to the Datalex judicial information system, the Yerevan Civil Court has accepted Ohanyan’s lawsuit for consideration.

Ohanyan is seeking to invalidate the FFA Executive Committee’s June 27, 2026 decision approving the regulations for Armenia’s professional football competitions for the 2026/27 season.

The regulations introduced a new foreign-player limit, allowing clubs to register no more than 15 foreign footballers for their first and second teams during the season.

The lawsuit reportedly cites multiple alleged violations in the process through which the regulations were adopted.

The dispute over the new foreign-player limit in Armenian football will now continue in court.
