Azerbaijan has organized a series of anti-Armenian exhibitions across six European cities, accusing Armenia of withholding accurate maps of mined areas and blaming Yerevan for hundreds of casualties.

On October 15, the Azerbaijani organization Gilavar Photo Club held an exhibition in Salzburg, Austria, as part of its international campaign titled “A World Without Landmines.”

According to Azerbaijani media, the exhibition sought to draw attention to what organizers described as the “landmine problem created by Armenia.”

During the event, organizers accused Armenia of failing to provide accurate maps of mined territories, claiming that approximately 500 people had been killed as a result during the post-conflict period. The allegations were presented without independently verified evidence establishing the claimed death toll or its direct connection to the maps.

The Salzburg exhibition followed similar events in Geneva, Switzerland, on October 5; Brno, Czech Republic, on October 7; Ljubljana, Slovenia, on October 9; Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on October 11; and Zagreb, Croatia, on October 13.

Gilavar Photo Club received funding through a 2026 grant competition organized by Azerbaijan’s state NGO support agency and the Karabakh Revival Fund, in partnership with the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).

The state-backed funding connection highlights Azerbaijan’s efforts to promote Baku’s anti-Armenian narrative across European cities, using the humanitarian issue of landmines to place responsibility for post-conflict casualties on Armenia.
