Armenian authorities have arrested a 44-year-old American citizen wanted internationally on charges of sexual violence against minors and handed him over to US law enforcement, Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on November 5.
The suspect was located at a residence on Sundukyan Street in Gyumri during a joint operation involving Armenia’s Criminal Police, the Shirak Regional Police Department, and the US Embassy’s Regional Security Office.
According to police, the American citizen had been wanted through Interpol since April 8, 2024, and was subject to a detention order.
He was transferred to US law enforcement authorities on October 30, 2026.
Authorities have not disclosed the suspect’s identity or provided further details about the charges against him.
