An open-source intelligence (OSINT) researcher has published a map purportedly showing Azerbaijan’s air defense and radar infrastructure, amid longstanding Iranian concerns over Baku’s military cooperation with Israel.

The map, published on November 4 by the researcher operating under the name GEOIMINT, reportedly draws on publicly available satellite imagery and other open-source information.

The accuracy of the information has not been independently verified, and there is no confirmed evidence that Iranian authorities commissioned or officially released the map.

The publication follows previous accusations by Iranian representatives that Israel has sought to involve Azerbaijan in a potential military confrontation with Tehran.

Iranian officials have also warned against alleged plans to encourage separatism in Iranian Azerbaijan, a region in northwestern Iran with a substantial ethnic Azerbaijani population.

Tehran has repeatedly expressed concern over Azerbaijan’s security and intelligence cooperation with Israel, viewing the relationship as a potential threat along Iran’s northern border.

The publication of the map comes amid these unresolved regional security tensions, although no direct connection between the researcher and Iranian state institutions has been established.
