Armenian opposition forces are preparing to launch a coordinated street campaign on November 8, as three additional political groups join a nationwide opposition initiative aimed at uniting political forces against Pashinyan’s government.

Public administration expert and “Strong Armenia” member Lilia Shushanyan announced the plans following a meeting with Narek Karapetyan, head of the “Strong Armenia” parliamentary faction.

According to Shushanyan, opposition representatives will take to the streets in small groups to engage directly with citizens and raise awareness about what they describe as the damaging consequences of Pashinyan’s government’s policies. She said the campaign would also involve other forms of public action.

Shushanyan identified three additional political forces that she said had joined the initiative:

 ● The “Wings of Unity” party, led by former Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan

 ● The “Democratic Party of Armenia,” led by Aram Sargsyan

 ● The “Union for National Self-Determination,” led by Paruyr Hayrikyan

The announcement follows a November 4 gathering of opposition political forces at the residence of “Strong Armenia” leader Samvel Karapetyan, shortly after his detention during a large-scale security operation.

The meeting, led by Narek Karapetyan and Aram Vardevanyan, resulted in a joint declaration calling for nationwide political consolidation despite differences among participating parties.

The political forces agreed to coordinate their efforts around four central priorities:

 1. Rejecting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s demands for constitutional changes in Armenia.

 2. Securing peace without unilateral concessions or territorial losses.

 3. Defending Armenian national identity and the Armenian Apostolic Church.

 4. Restoring democratic rights and freedoms.

The initiative comes amid intensified criminal proceedings against opposition figures. On November 4, authorities conducted searches at 65 locations, including properties associated with Samvel and Narek Karapetyan. The following day, Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court ordered Samvel Karapetyan held in custody for one month.

The planned November 8 street campaign represents a new phase in the opposition’s efforts to turn its joint political declaration into coordinated public action against Pashinyan’s administration.
